The Liverpool Gin Distillery will open on Castle Street this year
Liverpool Gin is to open a new distillery, complete with two bars, a Gin Lab and a Bartender School, on Castle Street towards the end of 2018.
The £1 million development, owned by Halewood Wines & Spirits, will enable gin fans to learn how to make the spirit themselves in a specially designed Gin Lab. Visitors will be able to choose their own botanicals and distil their own bespoke gin to take home.

Dead Man’s Fingers secures first national grocery listing
In just a matter of weeks since launching two new variants and a punchy redesign, Dead Man’s Fingers, the premium rum brand created in Cornwall, has continued its impressive momentum by securing its first national grocery listing with Asda.
Having mainly enjoyed distribution in the South West of the country, the deal presents a major milestone in the brand’s evolution since being acquired by Halewood, specialists in innovative artisanal spirits and craft beers.

Halewood shakes hands with Dead Man’s Fingers
Halewood Wines & Spirits, specialist in innovative and artisanal spirits has added Cornwall’s funky small batch spiced rum brand, Dead Man’s Fingers to its premium portfolio.
The founders of the Rum & Crab Shack in St. Ives, created the Dead Man’s Fingers Spiced Cornish Rum in 2015 and immediately began to build a cult following. The liquid is an inspired blend of Caribbean rums resulting in an exceptionally smooth taste, with notes of saffron cake, sweet Pedro Ximenez sherry ice cream, caramel, vanilla and cinnamon, nutmeg and orange. Neythan Hayes, the founder of Dead Man’s Fingers said, “We believe we’ve produced a liquid that is as good as any established or contemporary spiced rum out there.”
